Rose Quartz Tumbled 1.5cm - 2cm
Naturally tumbled Rose Quartz in a small 1.5–2cm size, displaying a soft pink to pale blush colouring with a high-gloss finish and a more translucent, chip-like form than larger tumbled sizes. Each piece varies in shape, tone, and degree of translucency. Well suited to crystal collections, decorative bowls, vase fillers, and craft or jewellery applications requiring smaller stones.
Rose Quartz is a variety of macrocrystalline quartz (silicon dioxide) coloured by trace amounts of titanium, iron, or manganese within the crystal lattice, or in some specimens by microscopic inclusions of a pink fibrous mineral called dumortierite. Unlike most quartz varieties, Rose Quartz rarely forms well-defined crystals and instead occurs in massive form within pegmatite deposits. The smaller tumbled size allows more translucency to show through the stone compared to larger pieces. Major sources include Brazil, Madagascar, and South Africa.
