Tree Agate Tumbled
Naturally tumbled Tree Agate in two size options — 2.5–3cm and 3–3.5cm — displaying an opaque white to pale grey base with deep forest green and dark teal dendritic branching patterns distributed throughout the stone and a smooth, high-gloss finish. Each piece varies in the density and arrangement of the branching patterns. A deeply organic-looking stone with a strong connection to the natural world, and a favourite among collectors for its distinctive tree-like patterning.
Tree Agate is a dendritic chalcedony — a microcrystalline variety of quartz (silicon dioxide) — characterised by its opaque white body and the dark green dendritic inclusions of chlorite or other iron and manganese minerals that branch through the stone in patterns reminiscent of trees or ferns. Like Moss Agate, it is technically not a true agate (it lacks the characteristic banding) but is classified as a chalcedony. It forms in volcanic and metamorphic rocks and is found worldwide, with notable sources in India and Brazil.
In crystal traditions, Tree Agate is associated with nature, growth, and a deep connection to the earth. Many people are drawn to it for its grounding quality and its visual resemblance to forests and branches. It is often said to encourage patience, inner peace, and a sense of abundance — making it a popular choice for those who feel a strong affinity with the natural world.
