Tourmalinated Quartz forms when black tourmaline crystals grow within a quartz matrix during formation, resulting in a naturally occurring composite of two distinct minerals in a single stone. The contrast between the translucent quartz and the sharp black tourmaline inclusions makes each piece entirely unique.
