Amethyst Geode
A natural amethyst geode with a rugged outer shell encasing a sparkling interior of deep violet quartz points. At 1,971g and measuring 10 x 7 x 10 cm, this is a compact but weighty specimen with excellent crystal coverage and rich colour depth throughout the cavity.
Amethyst geodes form when silica-rich fluid fills cavities in volcanic rock over millions of years, slowly depositing layer upon layer of quartz crystals. The result is the characteristic rough, grey-brown exterior contrasting with the brilliant violet crystalline interior that makes amethyst geodes so visually striking. The natural base allows the piece to stand independently for display.
