Pink Opal Tumbled AA 3-4cm
Naturally tumbled Pink Opal in an AA grade, 3–4cm size, displaying soft blush to dusty rose colouring with natural dark matrix inclusions and dendritic patterning throughout. Each stone varies in the depth of pink tone and distribution of matrix markings, giving every piece its own distinct character. A popular choice for crystal collections, display bowls, and gifting.
Pink Opal is a common opal (silicon dioxide with water content) coloured by inclusions of the pink organic pigment quinone, derived from the mineral palygorskite. Unlike precious opal, common opal does not display play-of-colour (iridescence). The dark matrix inclusions and dendritic patterning visible in these specimens are natural mineral deposits within the host rock, characteristic of naturally occurring Pink Opal from Andean deposits in Peru.
