Naturally tumbled Cherry Blossom Agate in a 1–2cm size, displaying soft blush pink, peach, cream, and grey tones with delicate dendritic inclusions that give the stone its distinctive petal-like patterning. Each piece varies in colour balance and the density of the inclusions. A gentle, feminine stone that is as beautiful in a display bowl as it is in a collection.

“Cherry Blossom Agate” is a trade name used for a specific variety of plume or dendritic agate, characterised by its soft pastel colouring and the fine mineral inclusions that branch through the stone in patterns reminiscent of cherry blossom. Mineralogically it is a banded chalcedony (microcrystalline silicon dioxide), forming within cavities in volcanic rock over millions of years. The soft colouring is natural and not colour enhanced. It is primarily sourced from Madagascar.

Agate has been treasured across cultures for thousands of years, and Cherry Blossom Agate in particular is sought after for its unusually soft, organic patterning — no two pieces are alike.
